Max Capacity: Net Necromancer
Who is this internet necromancer communing with the ghosts of media past? Between his broken VHS tapes and hacked Nintendo games, Max Capacity conducts a staticky stream of pop culture imagery from the past with the verve of the digital now. Anything is fair game — from 80s TV commercials to FBI warnings, the Santa Cruz native even makes TV static entirely his own.
oh hey look at me! i’m gonna repost this later again
Oh my god Max! This is my dear friend Max Capacity, who I love and adore. I can’t say enough good stuff about this guy. He really helped me develop my art and even influenced a piece I did. I was lucky enough to be in an art show with him, too! He’s been an inspiration and is so close to my heart. I used to see this crazy cat almost every day for beers and smokes and gummy candies and Law & Order and I miss him on the daily. Max lives to make art and I’ve never seen anyone work harder. I’m so glad that people appreciate him. Max, I wish you the best, may you sell art and receive nudez from all the lovely ladies on tumblr forever and ever amen.
*Self promotion plug: Max is producing my Breakfast Every Day zine. Please buy it when it’s out to fund this amazing video artist and his work*
I’m sure you’re exaggerating, but thanks still <3 <3 <3 I ate a whole bag of gummi cherries the other night because i was bummed.
And definitely go buy the Breakfast Every Day zine when it’s done because it’s part of a complete breakfast and the pages will be rich in fiber.
